U. S. Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Thad Allen, Friday announced the opening of two Coast Guard National Centers of Expertise at the International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans, La. The Investigation National Center of Expertise (INCOE) in New Orleans and the Outer Continental Shelf National Center of Expertise (OCS NCOE) in Morgan City, La. are envisioned to capture the best practices of investigations and Marine Safety and incorporate them into advanced training opportunities throughout the Coast Guard. A total of seven Coast Guard NCOEs are being established around the country to provide venues for professional development and exchange between industry partners and the Coast Guard.
