So, it looks like the CGC Bertholf virtual tour was a hit. I saw several people passing the link on and getting involved in the conversation.
We found another virtual tour of the CGC Mackinaw, a 240-foot ice-breaking cutter on the Great Lakes. Although this tour is not as sophisticated as the Bertholf’s tour, it is nevertheless spectacular to take a walk around the cutter – but hold on to something cause I found myself getting a bit “sea sick” as the camera will go wherever you direct it.
Commissioned in 2006, the “Mac” was built for heavy ice breaking but as you can see on the tour she is a multi-mission platform with many advanced capabilities.
