Are you interested in Homeland Security? Do you like writing about it? Do you have ideas that you want to share? If your answers are yes, or even maybe, you should consider entering into the Naval Postgraduate School’s Annual Essay Competition.
The Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) is seeking entries for its third Annual Essay Competition. They are looking for creative writing entries that use innovative thinking to address the prevention of terroristic attacks within the United States, reducing America’s vulnerability to terrorism and minimizing the damage and helping recovery from attacks that do occur.
This year’s essay question is:
How can, or should, the United States make Homeland Security a more layered, networked, and resilient endeavor involving all citizens?
Interested yet? Well, get this, the winner gets a $1,500 prize and an invite to the Center’s campus in Monterey, CA for its annual forum. This essay contest is a great opportunity to provide your thoughts and input to the important field of homeland security and, heck, you may even get some cash out of it!
