  • Coast Guard helicopters were called to help in the search for the pilot of a private aircraft that crashed about a mile south of the Houma Terrebonne Airport in Southern Louisiana yesterday. The pilot was apparently the only person onboard at the time.

  • After Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville received a call that a boat was taking on water, had lost power and was about to run aground, a Coast Guard 47-foot boat responded and rescued the two men onboard. The boat ended up running aground on Naval Station Mayport.

  • Originally thought to be a possible pipeline leak, an investigation into the source of pollution off the coast of Texas revealed a sunken boat. The Coast Guard is working with partner agencies to cleanup the heavy fuel oil that is reportedly onboard the boat.
