It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no… wait… it’s a cornfield trimmed into the shape of a helicopter? Huh? Is that “U.S. Coast Guard” cut into the field as well? Was it aliens?
Nope, it’s a gigantic corn maze honoring the U.S. Coast Guard and helping to raise money for the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Program. If you plan to be near Hope Valley, Rhode Island, stop in and get lost in the maze for the sake of charity. But, carry a whistle to call for help if you can’t find your way out… the Coast Guard doesn’t specialize in cornfields.
The farm opened today and will stay open until the end of October. Sounds like a great day between the cornfield maze, Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch, a pumpkin cannon, a hay bale maze, a hay bale pyramid, pumpkin carvers and private campfire sites.
Bundle up and head outdoors for some family-friendly fun all in the name of charity!
