  • Guardians are searching for three fisherman missing since their boat sank 20 miles off of Cape May last night. A helicopter from Air Station Atlantic City responded to an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) transmission and discovered an empty life raft when they arrived on scene.

  • The Coast Guard Cutter Jarvis returns home today to unload nearly five tons of illegal narcotics seized from a self-propelled semi-submersible off the coast of Central America last month. The Jarvis also served as the on-scene coordinator during the search for 7 Guardians and 2 Marines when Rescue 1705 and a Marine helicopter were lost at sea two weeks ago.
