  • Similar to the rescue mentioned yesterday on the Compass, an EPIRB helped save the life of one person off the coast of New Jersey yesterday. The person rescued was on a 38-foot fishing boat with two other people when it sank about 25 miles east of Barnegat Light on Tuesday night. Several Coast Guard resources are actively searching for the other two people.
