Earlier today, the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation heard testimony from Vice Admiral Robert J. Papp, President Obama’s nominee to be the 24th Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. The Committee is expected to vote on Papp’s nomination on March 24, 2010 and then forward his nomination for a vote by the full Senate.
