“Diversity is an operational necessity” – Admiral Thad Allen, Commandant of the Coast Guard

The Coast Guard’s ongoing effort to better reflect American society with respect to diversity was the focus of the February issue of the World Bank‘s Office of Diversity newsletter. The article highlights the service’s Diversity Strategic Plan and applauds the Coast Guard for its work inside and outside the workforce to operationalize diversity.
