A VERY close second People’s Choice is Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class William Parkinson’s picture of Coast Guard Air Station Sitka conducting hoist training operations with Coast Guard Cutter Anacapa (WPB 1335) off the coast of Sitka, Alaska. Way to go Boats!

Third place People’s Choice is Seaman Joseph Puterbaugh’s picture of his shipmates – Boatswain’t Mate 1st Class Nicholas Crews, Seaman Cory Stepien and Seaman Derek Tharp – from Coast Guard Cutter Valiant standing by, ready to tie down a helicopter. This one will make a few mothers happy I am sure!
