March Madness has arrived and as everyone fills out their brackets we bring you our own tournament in the form of “Shutter Shootout” as our fans select the best Coast Guard photo of the year.
Throughout 2011, Coast Guard men and women from around the world captured remarkable photographs of search and rescue missions, maritime security patrols, joint interagency operations, international exercises and routine training evolutions to take you behind the scenes of life in the U.S. Coast Guard. Shutter Shootout is your opportunity to vote for your favorite Coast Guard image.
Starting today, you can vote during each round of tournament play at the Coast Guard’s Facebook page by clicking “like” on your favorite photos. The champion photo will be announced April 2, coinciding with the national championship game.
Head over to our Facebook page for voting, or use the bracket below. May the best photo win!
If you don’t have facebook you can’t vote?
Jan Freeman,
Apologies, but the only way to vote for the Shutter Shootout photo contest is through Facebook. You can see all the photos without an account, but must have an account to vote or “like” the photo. You can also see all of the photos at our Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/coast_guard/collections/72157629204783726/
Thanks for reading Compass!
Very Respectfully,
