The final matchup of the 2012 Shutter Shootout photo contest is here! Who will be the winner? Will it be the number one seed from the south – a photo of a Station Port Canaveral patrolling a shuttle’s launch pad in the early morning hours – or the number four seed from the west – a silhouette of Coast Guard Cutter Washington as the sun shines through a Coast Guard Ensign. It’s up to you to decide the Coast Guard photo of the year and this is your last chance to vote!  Head over to our Facebook page for voting, or use the bracket above. May the best photo win!

Throughout 2011, Coast Guard men and women from around the world captured remarkable photographs of search and rescue missions, maritime security patrols, joint inter-agency operations, international exercises and routine training evolutions to take you behind the scenes of life in the U.S. Coast Guard. Shutter Shootout is your opportunity to vote for your favorite Coast Guard image.

Vote during this last round of tournament play at the Coast Guard’s Facebook page by clicking “like” on your favorite photos.
