The GEICO Military Service Awards Program annual pays tribute to an active duty enlisted servicemember from each branch of the Armed Forces, and one reserve member for his or her special achievements and contributions to the public good of the civilian and/or military community.

Winners will receive a $2,500 cash honorarium and a plaque to commemorate their achievement during a presentation in Washington, D.C., in April 2016. GEICO will pay for lodging and round-trip transportation for the winner and a guest. Runners-up will also be recognized.

Nominees will be selected based on recent contributions or noteworthy accomplishments in one of the following areas:

  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention
  • Fire Safety and Fire Prevention
  • Traffic Safety and Accident Prevention

Contributions or accomplishments are evaluated through Sept. 30, 2015. However, nominations may be based on activities that span sever previous years, are ongoing, or were accomplished completely in the previous year.
