While Cybersecurity Awareness Month has come to an end, the Coast Guard continues to enhance capabilities to identify and deter cyber risks.
Rear Adm. Marshall Lytle, commander of Coast Guard Cyber Command, has been leading initiatives, including the establishment of the cyber crisis action team, to help secure Coast Guard networks against these threats.
“Cybersecurity is one of the most serious economic, national and personal challenges that we face,” he said. “Our network systems are constantly under attack from a variety of threats that could cripple our operations.”
