The Coast Guard is currently completing the most significant change to our pay system in nearly three decades. This major software upgrade constitutes a transition from the outdated Joint Uniform Military Pay System, or JUMPS, to Direct Access’s payroll engine, commonly known as “Global Pay”. There are a few keys to a successful transition that we depend on you for!
According to Flag Voice 432, published in October by Rear Adm. David Callahan, assistant commandant for Human Resources or CG-1, “Direct Access will be taken off-line to conduct a major software upgrade representing the most significant change to our pay system in nearly two decades.”
